Put Yourself in Her H.E.E.L.S. Virtual Challenge

There is an old saying: “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked in their shoes.”
Since 2013, PUT YOURSELF IN HER H.E.E.L.S., has strived to Help, Encourage, Empower, Lift, and Support women and women with children as they navigate life and get back on their feet. September 1, 2021, through September 30, 2021, YWCA Central Indiana will host our 9th Annual Put Yourself in Her H.E.E.L.S. virtual fundraising challenge. During this time, we will strive to raise awareness and funds to support our Emergency Shelter and C.O.T.S. Stay programs that serve Central Indiana.
The mission of YWCA Central Indiana is to eliminate racism and empower women. Our goal is to provide each woman and child who enters our doors–with no place to call home–opportunity and hope. Every day they come to find shelter and safety in the YWCA Emergency Shelter Program. YWCA Central Indiana board and staff strives to meet their basic needs; however, we believe our efforts would go even further with your support.
Since January of this year, YWCA Emergency Shelter program has provided over 476 beds for women and women with children in our Emergency Shelter and COTS Stay programs. We have kept 106 mothers and their 70 children safe; we helped over 60 families find permanent housing; and we assisted 96 women in obtaining employment. Furthermore, 44 women went back to school!
We look forward to having you join us on our virtual challenge to achieve our H.E.E.L.S. fundraising goal of $50,000.
