Dear Santa,
My name is Destiny*. I have been very good this year. I am 6 years old and on the nice list.
This year for Christmas I would love some new toys to play with. Some of my toys break and get lost when we move. You got me a babydoll and I loved her very much.
I would also like a coat for Christmas. Me and my mom have to ride the bus. If I wear a coat I won’t get sick.
Last will you please help my mom. She is also on the nice list but is sad. She needs something to make her happy.

Destiny is one of many children in our community who won’t have a tree overflowing with gifts on Christmas morning. She will be spending the holiday season with her mother and the other ladies residing at the YWCA. The YWCA’s mission to empower women is not only for those women using our services, but to increase the quality of life for their children such Destiny as well.
Thankfully, because of the amazing support we receive from this community, Destiny will be getting a coat for Christmas along with other gifts that will make the holidays special for her. Due to the services offered by the YWCA, Destiny will not only have a safe place to stay, she will be able to enjoy her Christmas without any worry of staying warm or finding a place to sleep. The YWCA loves being the reason behind this, but we can’t do it alone. Your support can have a lasting impact on women and children from all over east central Indiana.
As we near the end of the year we also begin to wrap up our #LetLoveLive campaign, designed to raise funds necessary to support these women in need. At this point we have been able to collect enough to support 25 women for an entire year – but we want to do even more!
