POSITION TITLE: Development and Marketing Intern
The YWCA Central Indiana, East Central Indiana’s homeless shelter for women and their children, is seeking a qualified individual to intern in the Development and Marketing division.
Start Date: 2017 Spring Semester
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support to the Program/Marketing Director in the areas of creative projects, event planning, fundraising, blogging, and posting to social media. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs preferred. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to work on projects that will add to a professional portfolio.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Student must be of Junior or Senior standing. Degrees in areas of Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or Women’s Studies preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
- detail oriented
- experience with Microsoft Office programs
- high verbal and written communication skills
- professional, organized, and willing to handle basic office tasks (photocopying, mailings, etc.)
- commitment to the well-being and betterment of women
- passion for helping the under served

POSITION TITLE: Residential Intern
The YWCA Central Indiana, East Central Indiana’s homeless shelter for women and their children, is seeking a qualified individual to intern in the Residential division.
Start Date: 2017 Spring Semester
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support to the Residential Director in the areas of case management, intake assessments, supporting residents, navigating social services, and filing. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to work on projects that will enhance resumes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Student must be of Junior or Senior standing. Degrees in areas of Social Work, Family and Consumer Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Women’s Studies preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

- able to collaborate with other social service agencies
- organizing and managing

- commitment to the well-being and betterment of women
